In a typical enterprise, database configurations are ever-changing. Most of these changes go untracked and unnoticed until SQL Server performance or availability becomes compromised. Idera’s SQLconfig takes the guesswork out of configuration changes by providing automated change notification and reporting on any important changes that may occur in a SQL Server environment. SQLconfig will monitor and track key SQL server configuration changes that may occur on database server hardware, the operating system, the SQL Server instance, or the database configuration. SQLconfig also allows the creation of a “gold standard” server to which all other configurations may be compared. This allows the database manager to quickly configure new SQL Server instances and ensure that all servers match the “gold standard” configuration and remain compliant with corporate standards.
